Nail Art Challenge: Gradient

I've been trying hard for weeks now to figure out a cute simply gradient design. I have to say I'm not good at gradient designs I've never been good at blending the colors together on my nails I can do it on my eyes easy just not nails. So I was online yesterday and saw a tutorial that sokolum79 did on YouTube and thought it was so cute and unique. It was a nail tutorial inspired by the nail art  Emma Watson was wearing in Elle UK 2011. The best thing about this nail design is you only need two colors a dark color and a light one, and it's a very simply and cool look. It also gave me a chance to try out my new polish Revlon's Lilac Pastelle, which I love now.

Quick Update

To start off Merry Christmas everyone. So this week has not been filled with holiday cheer for me sadly. My house was robbed, luckily no one was home so we didn't get hurt and most of the items taken can be replaced. But I was so sad to see my camera case was stolen which held my camera, batteries, and SD cards. I know that stuff can be replaced but sadly the pictures on the SD cards can't be replaced which sucks. So now I can't make YouTube videos or take a lot of pictures for awhile tell I save up for a new camera. That's of course after I buy my sister a new Wii since the robbery was mostly my fault. But I can still take pictures on my phone I'm not sure about videos yet. So the pictures I'll be posting might be a little blurry because my phone takes really bad pictures. But hopefully all of you had a better week.

DIY: Studded Rings,Necklace,Phone Case

My sister gave me one of her old shirt some of the studs had fallen off of it but there were still a lot left. I love studs on pretty much anything but especially accessories. I have been wanting a cute cross ring and necklace for awhile so I figured why not combined the two. I wasn't sure what to do with some of the round studs so I put some on my phone case so it wasn't so boring. These are also not just a great way to recycle and very cute but they make great gifts for Christmas. I've already made another gold studded cross ring for my sister as a gift.

CVS 50%-75% Sale Haul

I was so excited about this sale all the items I bought were 75% off. I've never tried any of these products but I figured now is the perfect time to pick up items I've been wanting to try. I did't pay over $3 for any of thse items. When me and my sister stopped at a CVS I told here about the sale so she picked up a few items and let me pick out any item I wanted which was hard to choose between a nail polish or eyeliners. But I went with the eyeliners which is a little shocking sense I love nail polish and it was the last one they had in the shade I wanted. But I am excited about what I got, this sale is amazing so run to a CVS near you and see what amazing products you can find.

DIY: Candle Holders

I made one of these candle holders awhile ago but it was purple with pink outline and a beautiful peach color on the inside. But sadly I threw it away when I moved. For Christmas my sister bought some ribbon to but on are Christmas tree, so I decided to keep the empty ribbon holders to make new candle holders. These ones I made for my sister for Christmas but hopefully I'll be making some for me soon.

NOTD: Rihanna Inspired Spinning Bead Nails

So let me say this design wasn't inspired by one of Rihanna's nail designs it just reminds me of something she would wear or a nail art i'd design if I was doing her nails. I wanted to try doing a spinning bead nail I'd seen them awhile ago but never tried it. My niece gave me a rhinestone sticker and a few other gifts for christmas so I decided to use the rhinestones for my nail art since they were in strips it saved me a lot of time. I really wanna try doing more spinning bead designs.

NOTD: Rainbow Crackle

A lot of times I'm surprised to see what inspires other nail artist. But ever sense I've started doing nail art I've found that there is no limit to what you can do for nail designs or what can inspire you. This nail art was actually inspired by one of my house keys. Sense I've recently moved I have a lot more keys and most look the same. So after locking myself out of the house (twice) my sister suggested I paint my keys. I really put a lot of thought into painting them as crazy as that sounds like hello kitty with 3d glasses, Kenny from south park and a ninja to name a few. But my favorite was the rainbow crackle. It originally was supposed to be a lollipop but turned into a colorful mess so I threw some crackle over it and fell in love. I also recently bought some bat and skull glitter stickers so I threw those on as well. I loved this nail art so much I wore it to my family Christmas party I just didn't have the heart to take it off before I left for the trip. :)

Nails of the day: Hooked On Crackle

I love crackle nail polish but I feel like I should use it more. So I was having such a nail block I just couldn't decide what nail design to do. Originally I planned to do Muppet inspired nails because at the last minute I was invited to see the movie but sadly I ended up not going. So then I thought of doing the next twilight inspired nail art but I just wasn't in the mood to do it. So I decided to play around with my new crackle polishes. I've been really curious to see what crackle polishes on top of each other look like, And I have to say I love it! I pretty much just threw them all together on my nail and topped it off with my new glitter nail polish because glitter always looks great on nails.

Nails of the day: Breaking Dawn Esme Island Nails

I've never done beach nail art but I have to say I really love it now and hopefully I'll do more in the future. I went and saw breaking dawn part 1 last night. It was so good much better than the book! I planned on seeing it thanksgiving weekend but plans usually never go as planned. I originally planned to do a few breaking dawn nail art designs but there was a specific one I wanted to wear when I saw them movie. I'll still be doing more twilight nail art. :)

Nail Art Challenge : Pattern

I remember my first attempt at camouflage nail art, let's just say it didn't end pretty well actually it did end at all I got half way done decided it looked like a giant blob and gave up on the design. But I thought I would try it again and I have to say I love it! The pink and blue look so cute together this is one design I will have to do again sometime.

Nail Art Challenge : Song

This was a hard challenge I mean having to choose just one song didn't work for me so I chose two. Lately I've been obsessed with Professor Green songs so I choose "Kids That Love To Dance" and "Read All About It". I love how the name turned out with the smoke behind it so I kept it and changed my other nails for both manicures.
